Description

New York has always been a prominent travel destination and visitors are increasingly relying on online reviews and testimonials to determine where to eat, shop, and sleep. However, most travel sites like TripAdvisor are made up of reviews from other travelers.

Mei Reve was created to be a source of recommendations curated not by the masses but by a small pool of actual New Yorkers who know what the best spots are.

The app was also positioned as a digital tool for hotel concierges to give their own select list of favorites to guests. Rather than use the traditional pen and paper map, concierges could direct guests to Mei Reve where their list is already compiled. That way, users can access locations via map apps, get general info, and even have the concierge’s own custom tips and advice.

Mei Reve also shot photography of its own mascot at each of the locations featured within the app, giving it a distinctive personality from most travel/review sites.
